Pricing starts with the system: £240 + VAT per square metre for Channel Pro® or £200 + VAT per square metre for Living Louvres®. Optional items are priced per square metre — drip irrigation kit £25, substrate £23, plant bundle £180 at 36 plants per square metre — with a Duplo two-zone tap timer at £171 flat. Installation is quoted separately at one install day per 5 m² within the M25. Fixing bolts are bought separately, delivery on system orders is free, and every figure is confirmed after a site inspection. Price it yourself with our living wall estimate generator.

Maintenance is quoted per wall rather than as a percentage, because the visit — not the area — drives most of the cost. The variables are visit frequency, access equipment and whether seasonal replanting is included. Send us the wall size, its aspect and how it is reached and we will price a schedule.

Living walls contribute to biodiversity net gain, urban cooling, acoustic softening and wellbeing credentials, and they support BREEAM and ESG reporting. On commercial projects they are most often justified by the arrival experience and by the sustainability narrative they evidence.

A living wall is a built system with its own growing medium and irrigation fixed to the wall, so it greens the full surface from day one. A green façade uses climbers rooted at the base growing up a support, which is cheaper but takes years and covers unevenly. We build both, and will say which suits your elevation.

Channel Pro® for continuous coverage on façades, atria and long courtyard runs. Living Louvres® where fins can shade glazing, screen a view or green a substrate that cannot take a full wall build-up. The decision comes from orientation, structure and access, not preference.

Yes, and interiors are often easier: stable temperature, no wind loading. The constraint is light. Where daylight is limited we integrate horticultural lighting and select shade-tolerant species so the wall stays dense rather than thinning towards the back.

Our Living Louvres® use a fire-safe build-up, and we provide product data, weight loadings and fixing details for building control and insurer review. On buildings above 18 metres, fire strategy should be agreed before the system is specified.

A domestic courtyard wall is usually installed in two to four days. Larger commercial living wall installations in London run one to three weeks on site, programmed around scaffold, façade and M&E sequencing. Pre-growing the planting is the long lead item, typically six to twelve weeks.

Yes. Planting is pre-grown off site in cassettes so it arrives at full density. You should not have to wait a season for the wall to close up.

A structure that can take the loading, a water supply, drainage or an overflow route, and power for the controller. We confirm all four at survey stage and detail the interface before anything is ordered.

Not always. Low walls are installed from ground level or a podium tower; taller elevations use a MEWP, mast climber or existing scaffold. We agree the access strategy up front because it materially affects both install and maintenance cost.

Interior walls are visited monthly. Exterior walls need four to eight visits a year depending on species and exposure. Each visit covers irrigation checks, feeding, pruning and replacement of failed plants so density stays even across the wall.

Some attrition is normal in the first year as the wall settles. Replacement of failed plants is included in our maintenance contracts, and repeated failure in one area is treated as a symptom — usually irrigation, light or wind — rather than a planting problem.

Yes. We survey the frame and irrigation, report on what is failing, quote for remedial work and then take on planned maintenance. We look after systems from other manufacturers as well as our own.

Yes. As an independent living wall system supplier we sell Channel Pro® and Living Louvres® hardware, irrigation kits and substrate to landscapers and main contractors, with setting-out drawings and remote technical support through the build.
