The constraint
A prominent restaurant frontage needing a planted façade for a limited period, with no permanent fixings and a listed-street context.
01 — The brief

Temporary does not mean provisional. On a Mayfair frontage the installation is judged against permanent planting, so it has to arrive finished and stay that way for its whole run.
The frame was designed for repeat use and to fix without permanent alteration to the building, and the planting was grown on so it could be recovered after demount.
02 — Challenge, solution, result
A prominent restaurant frontage needing a planted façade for a limited period, with no permanent fixings and a listed-street context.
A demountable frame with non-invasive fixings, pre-grown planting for instant cover, and a maintenance visit schedule through the run.
A frontage that read as established planting for the whole period, taken down cleanly with the frame and plants recovered for reuse.
