01 — The brief

Planting that has to live indoors.

The wall sits inside a working office, so the planting had to hold its density under interior light levels and cope with a stable but dry indoor climate. There was no margin for plants that would thin out after a few months.

We handled the wall, the irrigation and the growing conditions together: light assessment first, then species selection, then the feed and drainage detail behind the planted face. Maintenance visits were built into the specification from the outset.
